Hello, I'm Captain Jerry Blake. Welcome to my website and our corner of paradise in SW Florida. Before discovering this "Fishing Capital Of The World", I owned and operated a very busy fishing guide service in Arkansas for a decade and a half. However, after spending just a short time exploring this area, I was hooked on the magnificent scenery, awesome wildlife and incredible fishing opportunities and decided that this is where I need to be.
Along with awesome year around fishing in the Lemon Bay area, sightseeing and nature viewing opportunities abound. We have miles and miles of pristine beaches loaded with seashells and fossilized shark teeth to explore. All sorts of wildlife including, bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, peregrine falcons, brown pelicans, white pelicans, songbirds and all sorts of wading, diving and shorebirds make this their permanent or seasonal home or just stop by on their annual migrations. There are several Rookery Islands in the area that host a wide variety of nesting birds in late winter and spring.
Come aboard my stable, safe and comfortable 25-foot Bluewave Bay Boat for a few hours or for a full day of memorable fun and relaxing on the water. For anglers, I offer inshore, light-tackle, guided fishing charters for snapper, snook, spotted seatrout, redfish and anything else that wants to devour our live or artificial bait. For those with other interests, I offer a variety of private excursions including sunset and dolphin cruises, eco tours, sightseeing and beachcombing charters. Depending on your interests, several activities can be included on your excursion.
Some of the most popular destinations include boat-access only Don Pedro Island State Park, Stump Pass Beach State Park and Gasparilla Island State Park in Boca Grande. The nature viewing, beachcombing and sightseeing at all of our parks and beaches are top notch. There are a number of excellent restaurants along the way if your party would like to take a break for lunch or dinner. The opportunities are endless and I can custom tailor an excursion to your party's interests.
All excursions and guided fishing trips are private and exclusive to one party except for the Island Appreciation Night Tours on Wednesdays. A maximum of four anglers is recommended on serious fishing charters. All other excursions can comfortably accommodate up to six passengers. Fishing licenses are included and bait, tackle and fish cleaning services are provided at no additional charge. Bottled drinking water is provided and you are welcome to bring your favorite snacks and beverages.
All private excursions are $100 per hour total. There are no additional taxes or charges for fuel or bait. There is a 4-hour minimum charge for fishing charters and a 2-hour minimum charge for all other excursions. The best way to reach me for reservations or for more information is by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also call me at 941-270-4534, however, you may need to leave a message if I'm out on the water.
We usually meet at Harbor At Lemon Bay, across Riverview Avenue from 890 S. McCall Road, Englewood, FL. (see map below) where I keep my boat but I may be able to pick you up at a dock close to where you're staying if it's in the Englewood area.
